Climate : Prefers warm, humid tropical climates. Ideal temperature: 12°C – 35°C. Rainfall : Requires 600–1600 mm annually, well-distributed.

Spacing : 400–600 trees per acre (depending on 3x3 or 4x4 m spacing)
Planting Time : Start at the beginning of the monsoon
Watering : Drip or manual every 7–10 days
Weeding : Regular manual weeding to reduce competition
Fertilizer : Organic manure every 3–6 months; avoid excessive nitrogen
Pest Control : Monitor for stem borers, termites, powdery mildew
Maturity : Trees mature between 12–15 years; can be harvested earlier at 8–10 years for heartwood
Yield : Average heartwood per tree: 10–15 kg, Oil content: 4–6% of heartwood
